Job Title: HGV1 Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers
Location: St Ives - Cambridgeshire

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for our customer based in St Ives. This role involves driving a flatbed/dropside HGV1 vehicle delivering bagged aggregates and hardcore to customers across the local area. Most deliveries are within St Ives, Huntingdon, Ely, and surrounding areas, with occasional deliveries to Cromer or Norwich.

Duties include:

Driving a flatbed/dropside HGV Class 1 vehicle.
Delivering bagged aggregates and hardcore to customer sites.
Completing 2–3 loads per day.
Operating the vehicle's dropsides and manual netting system to secure and uncover loads.
Working with site FLT operators, who will unload the tonne bags upon arrival.
Following pre-planned delivery routes, with flexibility for changing road and traffic conditions.
Carrying out all deliveries safely and professionally while adhering to site procedures.


Key Details:

Pay Rate: £19 per hour + Holiday Pay (PAYE) / £22 per hour Ltd
Shifts: Monday - Friday
Start Times: 06:30hrs
Shift Length: Up to 11 hours per day
Work Type: Ongoing


Requirements:

A valid UK HGV 1 licence
Ideally a minimum of 6 months HGV 1 driving experience in the UK
A valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
Strong reliability and a professional attitude
